Blanket & Bloom™ began during the global pandemic, when the world felt uncertain and people longed for peace, safety, and restful sleep. Behind the brand is a husband-and-wife team with more than 30 years in furniture, décor, staging, and interior design, and several furniture and design stores between us. We launched Blanket & Bloom with a shared mission: to craft elegant, breathable weighted blankets that help people feel more grounded, more at ease, and more at home.

Why We Started

Three decades of sourcing materials taught us to read a fabric the way other people read a label. When we looked at the weighted blanket category, we kept finding the same thing. Weight borrowed from glass beads or plastic pellets, sealed inside synthetic fabric that traps heat all night. The blankets worked, but they were bulky, hot, and nothing you would want draped across a bed you had just spent a season styling. We knew there had to be a better way.

What Makes Blanket & Bloom™ Different

Most chunky knit blankets stuff synthetic fiberfill inside the knit strand. We made the BloomKnit™ Weighted Blanket differently. It is hand-knit from 100% cotton, with cotton inside every strand. No glass beads, no plastic pellets, nothing synthetic. The weight comes from the cotton itself.

Every blanket we create is thoughtfully engineered to:
